In “Muang Malai”, Puangsoi Aksornsawang takes on the voice of Wayla, a male author who narrates his strange encounters across three cities: Berlin, Bangkok, and Singapore. Through the discovery of dead birds on balconies, Wayla's characters explore themes of existence, decay, and belonging. This narrative lies at the heart of Puangsoi's performance, "A Draft of Dead Birds", where playing Wayla opens new possibilities for her to explore voices in storytelling, blurring the lines between fiction, memory, and identity.
